About CAHSS

CAHSS is a Crisis Accommodation and Home Support Service offered to residents of Stockport, Tameside and Glossop from the age of 16.

The aim of our service is that through early intervention in people's social crisis, people will be empowered to regain control and minimise the impact of the crisis on their functioning, quality of life and that of their families and friends in order to prevent escalation to further mental distress and possible hospital admission

Stockport and District Mind is a mental health charity that offers friendly, accessible support and information to promote well-being in the community. This local association is affiliated to National Mind, one of the leading mental health charities in England and Wales.

Stockport and District Mind strives to work towards a society where people who experience mental distress are supported in their recovery, are free from stigma and discrimination and are empowered to reach their full potential'.
